I have tried on my side to delete or merge the two numbers and I can't do that. She does not have computer skills to do anything. Can Family search please help us. What do I need to do to get the living number deleted?

    KLDJackson,

Regarding Deceased brother has 2 ID numbers one living and the other as deceased. This is a process your friend can make the corrections in Family Tree.

We are attaching several knowledge article for your review.

When a person is deceased, the person who created the living record needs to change it to deceased and then they can merge the two duplicate records. Hope this helps.!

Since she does not have very good computer skills at this time, sit down with her and have her sign into her FamilySearch account. Then go ahead and mark deceased on the ID that shows her brother as living. Since she even knows about the ID showing as living means it must be in her Private tree. Then you will be able to merge them without any difficulty.

If she lives too far from you to do this and if you can't talk her through it, are you able to access the Planner section of Helper Resources and have her give you permission to help her? When you are her Helper, you can see and do anything that she can see and do and take care of this for her.
