Where’s the Temple section Search option? Where so do we get help if ordinance dates ar
I’m trying to search the Temple section to see if the question has already been asked. The instructions say 1.click the magnifying glass below. I don’t see a magnifying glass below…. Is there supposed to be one?
I honestly feel like the Community is a run around and I can never find the right help I need. I’ve tried searching Help button | See more | Temple | then try to figure which key words to search for incorrect ordinance dates and how to get support.
How can anyone find where in the Community to go for a case where someone keeps merging the wrong ancestor and now original pioneer temple ordinances have been deleted?
i serve at the FamilySearch library in SLC . This is a VERY COMMON CONCERN that guests come to us with. How do we help them? They can no longer submit a case and I can’t find what or where on the Community to tell them to go for help. Ideas? Latter-day Saint Groups? PLEASE SIMPLIFY THE PROCESS. Is there a real person to help.
One guest yesterday came to Special Collections to find original Temple dates. She has submitted multiple cases. Contacted the person at large who keeps incorrectly merging her ancestor. Sent him pages of documentation to prove the identity of her ancestor. But he continues to incorrectly merge him again. What do we share with these same kind of guests? Please help. (I couldn’t figure out how to search to see if the question has already been asked.)
Thanks!

Hello @Lori Grua.
It sounds like your question revolves around missing ordinances. In other words, the earliest ordinances are not displaying because the individual's record has been merged incorrectly or some other problem has occurred. If you type the words "missing ordinances" in the search bar, at the top right (with the magnifying glass) there are a number of search results.
Another search using "earliest ordinances" produces another set of questions/answers.
If you or any of your patrons at the FHL have this problem of the earliest ordinances not displaying, you can post the issue here in the Temple Category of Community. Provide the ID number of the ancestor and a brief explanation of the problem. You might even attach a scanned copy of whatever documentation you might have for the earlier ordinance dates. Do not include any personal information or helper information in your post. Ask that the earliest ordinances be located and associated with the ancestor's record. Your case will be moved to the internal support team that handles these kinds of problems and you will receive a private message from that team, both when they take up the case and when it has been resolved.
We are hoping that this information will assist you and others. Best wishes!

the real question is:
Where do I get on the Community when early pioneer Temple dates are deleted because my ancestor has been incorrectly merged?
Also, is it possible to freeze accounts temporarily if individuals can’t resolve conflicts on FamilySearch?
( I was having issues getting my cursor in the right place on my phone for the question.)

Hi Lori,
Hello. Your question about how to find the question mark to see if a question has already been asked, it is in the top right hand corner of the page in the coloured banner. Just type your question in the bar and hope it comes up. If not ask away and I know someone will answer. Before you face palm, I really had to look for it and then realised it was staring me in the face. No, it is not below, but what is a direction among friends?
God bless and best regards.
