Access to Unavailable Images in Sonora Civil Records 1861-1995?

Greetings,

I am trying to access Sonora Mexico Civil Records, (not church records) specifically for a town called Saric. When I click on Saric Sonora, I am given 6 links containing baptismal, marriage and death civil records. All links work except the one with records from 1900-1995. In the past, I was able to access these records and even download them. Now only a index is available and a message saying "Image Unavailable".

Why would all links for Saric work, except the ones for 1900-1995? I have attached the link for the Saric Sonora Civil records below as well as the citation for folder that does not work :

Record Type and Years (familysearch.org)

"México, Sonora, Registro Civil, 1861-1995," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33S7-952G-9J88?cc=1918289&wc=M6S9-SP8%3A207225801%2C207153801 : 21 May 2014), Sáric > Nacimientos, matrimonios, defunciones 1900-1995 > image 1 of 2719; Archivo General del Registro Civil (Civil Registry State Archives), Sonora.

Thank You for any information

Mike

    Welcome to the "Community.Familysearch" Forum.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

In regard to your enquiry here ...

And, NOT addressing the Records for that specific 'Place' you reference...

    [ Plus, speaking generally ... ]

    FYI

Records, from ALL around the World, that are in 'FamilySearch', BOTH, become "Available"; and, then, later, become "Unavailable", on a regular basis.

The main "Reason", for Records, becoming (Later) "Unavailable", in 'FamilySearch', is a "Change" in the "Contractual Arrangements/Agreements" (ie. "Negotiations") between, the Record "Custodian" (ie. 'Holder'); and, 'FamilySearch', which occur on a regular basis.

A matter of ... now you 'see' it ... and, the, later ... now you don't ...

There are MANY "Reasons" WHY there are "Changes" to "Contractual Arrangements/Agreements" (ie. "Negotiations"); but, there is usually some form of "Commercial" nature involved. I will not expound upon that now. Suffice to say that; as, 'FamilySearch' is FREE to ALL - generally "Commercial" interests; but, sometimes "Other" interest, come in play; often, at a later date.

    But ...

    That Said ...

    Furthermore ...

In regard to the Records that you reference; particularly, in regard to the "Date Range" (ie. 1900 - 1995) ...

Another, very SPECIFIC "Reason", that Records, for that Period (ie. 1900 - 1995), were LATER made "Unavailable", is on the grounds of "Privacy"; as, some (But, NOT All) Records are (more often than) NOT made available 'On-Line' for at least 100 Years.

So, I would humbly venture to suggest that, for reasons of "Privacy", the 'Status' those Records for the "Date Range" (ie. 1900 - 1995) have NOW been made as "Unavailable" on 'FamilySearch'.

    Just my thoughts.

    Plus ...

Here is a "Knowledge Article" in 'FamilySearch':

Why did some historical records disappear from FamilySearch?

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/why-have-some-historical-records-disappeared-from-familysearch

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/why-have-some-historical-records-disappeared-from-familysearch

    I hope this helps, somewhat.

@Michael Araiza I am moving this discussion to the Search category. @Brett . has given you some excellent answers and suggestions.

Next time, you might want to post this type of question in the "Search" category. You would be more likely to get responses from moderators who focus on "Historical Records." In the meantime, you might want to check out some of the articles Brett has suggested.
