Ordinance Request

What if someone has reserved your ordinance for my mom's brother who I am not sure is related to the person as the closest living relative and is not responding. How do we go about figuring out who they are? My Uncle and his family had not been added or discoverable until I entered all his information and then this other person has since reserved the names and done their work without even asking for permission from me or my mother or at least saying they are related and wanted to do the work.

Hi, welcome to Family Search Community Understand you are asking about the ordinances for your Uncle. While we don't have enough information to see your family on Family Search, we can offer the following. Remember that you can only see living people that you have entered. Likewise, others cannot see the living people you have entered and you cannot see living people they have entered.
To your question about how to find out about the person reserving the ordinances, the only way is to message them or email if they provided email. You can also request to view relationship which they can enable. You can refer to this article about viewing relationships. We suggest you enable this feature if you haven't already.
Unfortunately, many users either don't see your message or choose not to respond. We would suggest you message them again.
Since they have reserved the ordinances, we have to assume they followed the process since that is the only way to reserve ordinances for people born within the last 110 years. Close family members who can do the ordinances without permission include grandchildren, undivorced spouse, adult children, parents or siblings (your mother qualifies here but you don't qualify as a close living relative). Any of the above except grandchildren can grant permission for others to do the ordinances.
Again, since you have not provided specifics, these are just general answers. Let us know if we can be of further help.
