Hello,

I have been checking some of my old Temple Cards and have found that there are dates missing from FamilySearch. I have attached 2 sets of cards and have added the ID# to the card to help make corrections in FamilySearch. Can you please check all the ordinances on the cards and update FamilySearch, so that the ordinance work does not keep getting duplicated?

Thank you, Michael Chambers

    Hi Mike,

I have looked at the ordinance information for the temple cards you shared. In many instances the ordinances were shown as "Completed" rather than showing a date. Please be assured the ordinances were performed and are valid. There is also no need for concern that the ordinances will be duplicated. The ordinance information is shown in gray. This means the ordinance cannot be requested, a Family Name Card cannot be printed, and the ordinance cannot be performed again.

I am enclosing information from an article found in the Help Center. The title of the article is, "Family Tree considers an ordinance to be completed, but it does not have a date or temple." The link for the article is: Implied or inferred ordinances • FamilySearch

The pertinent information for this matter is: "The confirmation and initiatory show "Completed" based on the rules above, and the baptism and endowment show with dates. These ordinances have been completed and do not need to be done again."

I hope this information will be useful to you. I commend you for your attention to detail and desire to have the most accurate records possible.
