Allow on the fly indexing or "tagging" of unindexed records

Let's say I am looking through the unindexed images and I find a person of interest. I then add the image to their profile, but all of the other people who appear on the record go unlinked.

It would be really nice if there were a way to tag or otherwise index everyone's names and dates that appear in just the one image, so that other researchers who do not consult the "unindexed" images would be able to find entries they seek more easily.
