When you get to viewing census scans, at the bottom are several data fields. These are good, but expanding them would be helpful to genealogists, historians, and especially archaeologists. The first two columns along with the date the census was taken allow us to recreate the route that the census taker took and we can use that to map out where people lived by reference to various maps. Also, occupation, the real estate and personal property columns are vital for historians and archaeologists. For instance, a 200 acre farm with a high personal property value usually translates to owning several slaves. Thus, those values plus digitizing the slave schedules would be superb.
