Computer gibberish in individual's notes. OK to delete?
I see a lot of computer-generated comments in the Notes for some ancestors. This may have had some meaning in 2013 when the database was loaded but means nothing now and only detracts from the Family Tree.
e.g. "Line 14939 from GEDCOM File not recognizable or too long: SLGC FAMC @F538@"
Sometimes the notes appear to be PAF error messages. It wouldn't be so bad if it was just one or two, but sometimes there are 25 of these messages out of 30 notes. Other times, the notes seem personal to one specific researcher.
e.g. "Johnny's 5 great grandfather" or "BRAD001 P6"
Is it OK to delete notes that convey no information but only serve to clutter the record?

Donald, as with anything on a person's page in Family Tree, any user can make changes, corrections, etc. The items you describe may have been carried over from an earlier system and now may have no relevance.
This knowledge article may help you decide whether it would be appropriate to delete the notes:
Hoping this helps you.

While they pop out all the time when you're not looking for them, they're a bit illusive when you want to find one. (Particularly the PAF error messages.) Let me get back with you on this.
