Can family search reserve temple ordinances?
I reserved Ida Svensdotter (KL9Y-3LL) back in Nov of 2020 to do the endowment & sealing to parent. Under closer observation, her record shows that the initiatory is "Reserved by Family Search 2009". I didn't know that was possible?!? LOL
Please, we are scheduled to do initiatory ordinances this next week or so. If I may have the opportunity to complete her work, I would be deeply grateful. If not, please fix it so others may obtain/reserve the work to get her done. I am sure she is patiently waiting for someone here to complete her work.
Thank you
Sincerely
M Scott

Go to the ordinances page for Ida and check the legend in the upper right corner. You will notice that the ordinances are "In Progress" / For a definition of the legend colors please go to help (circle with ?) and enter the keyword Legend. The result are found here https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/what-do-the-different-ordinance-statuses-mean
In progress—This ordinance is being completed. For example:
- Another FamilySearch user has printed a Family Ordinance Request or family name card for this ordinance.
- The ordinance was assigned to the temple, and the temple is in the process of completing it.
You may not request it as it is printed in one of the temples and your copy would be a duplicate.

Private messaged Guest to explain that because they were not related, we could not release Ordinance.
