Getting permission to do ordinances
My name is Alice Corrine Longmore and I am attempting to do ordinances for my aunt, Carolyn Eddards KW83-KDL. I have received verbal permission from my aunt when she was living and also from her daughter, who is living. I submitted my request with the completed necessary information but I have not heard anything yet, not even an email advising that it was being reviewed. I know that this is usually a fairly quick process. My concern is that I have a temple appointment scheduled to do initiatory and would like to be able to do take care of this ordinance at that time. Please advise.

Hi Alice,
Did you put your Aunt's daughter as the contact person for giving permission, and include her contact info? If so, that was the correct thing to do.
The department that reviews these requests has gone to a different format, so reviews and responses may take a little more time. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Just for your info, here is an article that outlines the procedure for this process.

Yes I did complete the request form and it had my cousin, Leslie Axe's, name and contact information. I know that we used to get a case # but I understand that procedure changed last week.

I see that these ordinances have now been cleared for me to do. Thank you.
