Ordinances Ready: What is the algorithm for selecting names?

I am a T&FHC and have been experimenting with Ordinances Ready in preparation for teaching about it. I can't figure out the algorithm used for selecting names from my own temple reservation list, or from someone's tree if they don't have currently reserved names.

In my own list, when I used this feature to select names, it did not select a name from those with the closest expiration dates, nor those with earliest reservation dates, nor my closest relatives. It seemed very random as I launched it multiple times to select for the same ordinance.

So, my question is: What is the algorithm used for selecting names in temple reservation lists or family trees?

Also, I request that Ordinances Ready include the following features in upgrades:

  1. Allowing a patron to select ordinances for either gender;
  2. Allowing a checkbox to exclude a person from the list presented;
  3. Excluding persons with zero sources. It seems that the names being pulled up from family trees is just a list of people with data problems and no sources. Including those names has a high likelihood of providing the patron with erroneous information and causing duplication of ordinances.
  4. Providing patrons with their closest relative from Family Tree or their nearest expiration date from Temple Reservation list.
  5. Show the relationship of the person in the Ordinances Ready list.

    Hello @Sheryl Neal Slaughter

    The only information we have about where Ordinance Ready gets names is in this knowledge article

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/where-does-ordinances-ready-get-names

    To make a suggestion about improving FamilySearch please use the Ideas section (with the light globe) on the left hand side of this Community feature. This is the Q and A section. The Ideas section is where you can post suggestions. The Product Managers do look at the Ideas section and other people can vote for your suggestion. I have had one of my suggestions which I posted in this category implemented.

    This article explains about making a suggestion

    Hi Sheryl Thanks for your question about Ordinances Ready. There are some articles that explain Ordinances Ready. Your best source of information is while on family search or community, in the upper right, click on the circle with the question mark. Select "Help Center" at the lower left. Enter Ordinances Ready in the search window. It will return several articles about Ordinances Ready.

    On your suggestions if you wouldn't mind. Please post those separately in the "Ideas" group. Select "Ideas" from the left panel on community, select "Temple" and enter your suggestions.

    Thanks

    Thank you. I will avoid covering this in training. Additionally, I have moved my request for enhancements to Ideas.
