pulled up a parish baptism record that is perfectly legible as far as the names of the children and their parents. However, the parish information is not written on the page. Should I index the information and leave the parish information blank?

We can check previous and following images, (reference images), according to the Project Instructions to see if the parish information is there. If so you can use that information in your batch. If not then we can follow the Field Help instructions, that tell us to mark that field blank (ctrl-b) if the information is not given.

Do you need help with learning how to use reference images?

    Hi SusanCarbineJohnson

To help you better please share the URL where the batch is located, or the batch code number.

    Hello Susan

We checked your batch: UK, England, Middlesex—Parish Registers, 1539–1988 [Part A][MSXV-9TK]

We checked the reference images and along with the very beginning of these records it say these are of St Matthew Bethnal Green . So yes, the parish name is St Matthew Bethnal Green

    Thank you for consulting us.
