Need directions for permission to perform an ordinance

I need directions for permission to perform an ordinance for a deceased relative who died as an infant. The only information I have about him is name and place of birth and place of death, no other information. His immediate living relative are now of old age and has no detailed memories of him. I'd like to submit his name for sealing ordinance to his parents, who are my grandparents. Thank you.

We will need names and ID numbers of the ancestors you would like us to look at. Please make sure all record hints and information is attached to all ancestors involved. As an infant only the Sealing to parents would be needed. There should be a clear relationship between you and the infant ancestor.
- Policies for sealing deceased children to deceased parents
- Children who are not born to previously sealed parents may be sealed to their parents. Sealings may be performed by proxy on behalf of deceased children.
- How do I request ordinances for an ancestor who was born in the last 110 years?
- For records of those born within the last 110 years, the closest living relative must grant permission for temple work.

Depending on your age, anyone the generation of your parents really should have some type of birth or death record. If you post the ID number of the person with a question about how to find his birth and death in the Family Tree Q and A section you probably will get some hints as to how to find those records.
