I have written permission from the brother to do temple ordinances for a friend and need to be able to print off temple cards for Karen Gish M7VM-GN3.

Thank you for posting your question to the Community. You need information about printing temple cards for your friend. How wonderful that her brother gave you permission. Here is information that is necessary to complete the request to perform the ordinances for your friend.

Karen Louise Gish 23 November 1942 – 10 September 1958 M7VM-GN3. Have you already gone through the process of requesting her ordinances? We don't see that her ordinances have been requested at this time.

    Steps

    1. Add your deceased friend to Family Tree. (you can do this under recents)
    2. Note your friend's ID number in Family Tree.
    3. To request the ordinances, contact FamilySearch Support  by email, phone, or chat. In your request, provide the following information: *please send the information back to this post by using send a message
      • Your friend's name and Family Tree ID number. *we have this information already
      • The name of the person who granted permission and his or her relationship to the deceased individual.
      • Your FamilySearch username.
      • Your helper number. You can find this number in your FamilySearch Account settings .
      • A scanned copy or photo of the signed permission form.
      • Include the contact information for the person granting permission.

If you add a friend or other person who is not connected to your family tree, and if that person was born in the last 110 years, you need to request permission to do ordinances. Please see the form to use below:

I, (name of person giving permission), give (your name) permission to do temple work in a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints temple, for (name of deceased), who is my (relationship to person giving permission).  (Signature of person giving permission)

Requesting permission requires that you use the full version of Family Tree at FamilySearch.org or the Family Tree mobile app. You cannot currently request this permission by using Family Tree Lite.

Be aware that the process for obtaining permission requires the following:

    • You must have an email address that you can access and that you can use to respond to emails.
    • You must obtain written permission from a close living relative to do the ordinance, scan or take a picture of the written permission, and attach and send the image as part of the mail exchange with FamilySearch Support.

The ordinances were requested through the website. An email was sent to lrehart4024173 asking for a signed copy of the permission letter.
