My spouse passed away a couple of years ago. Can I get her temple reservations transferred to me?
@Sidney Fraley, in response to your question, the answer is "no". When a spouse is deceased and has ordinances on their Temple List, they cannot be transferred to your account. Please remember that we are not related to the ancestors of our deceased spouse. As explained by @ReddKathy2, with some investigation you may be able to find some of the names on your spouse's list so that the system administrators will be able to release the names back into Family Tree, but they will not be added to your Temple List. I will escalate this case to the internal department that can gather the information from you that would be required to address this concern.
A person who reserved ordinances has died, is incapacitated, or had a withdrawal of membership

The reserved names on a member's family names list are handled differently, depending on whether the member died, was incapacitated, or had a withdrawal of membership. You can submit a request to have the member's entire family names list released. You need to provide specific information. This process is a manual one. If the reservation list is large, the process can be time consuming.
When a member of the Church dies and the Membership Department receives the death information and adds a death date, the system locks the FamilySearch Account of the deceased member. As a result, the temple ordinance list of the deceased member undergoes the following changes:
When a member of the Church becomes incapacitated, other members can use the helper function to access the temple ordinance list of the member's account.
When a member of the Church has a withdrawal of membership or has his or her name removed from Church membership, the FamilySearch account changes to a public (nonmember) account. As a result, the following changes occur in relation to the temple ordinance list:
Due to the specialized work required to resolve this type of issue, you can receive the fastest response by submitting your request online using our Send a Message feature at FamilySearch Support . Please provide the following information:
A system administrator reviews your request and notifies you by email of a decision. If the request is approved, the family names are released. This process is a manual one. If the reservation list is large, the process can be time consuming.
We have released the reservations from your deceased spouse's Temple Ordinance List. They now show ready to be requested. Please make note that for reservation purposes you are not considered to be related to your deceased wife's extended family. However, if you have any living children they can reserve the ordinances after verifying relationship.
We appreciate your interest in doing this sacred work.
