CANNOT ADD NEW PEOPLE FROM RECORDS
I COMMENTED A FEW MONTHS AGO, I CANNOT ADD NEW PEOPLE FROM A CENSUS OR BIRTH (OR ANY RECORD) AUTOMATICALLY BY CLICKING THE 'ADD +' BUTTON ON RECORDS - IT HAS TO BE DONE MANUALLY BY CREATING A PERSON YOURSELF. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN BEFORE, THE 'ADD+' BUTTON ALWAYS USED TO WORK. WHY IS THIS, MOST FRUSTRATING. THE PERSON WHO ANSWERED MY QUERY ASKED FOR A SCREENSHOT, BUT DID NOT OBVIOUSLY UNDERSTAND, SO NO JOY. PLEASE FIX.
YOU ALSO CANNOT REPORT A PROBLEM EASILY ANYMORE. THIS IS THE INSTRUCTION, BUT NOTHING ON SITE: To give feedback, click Go to Discussion Board. (To create support case to solve a problem, fill in the Report a Problem section instead. THIS SITE IS NOT FUNCTIONING AS IT DID, TOO MANY CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE FOR THE WORSE

Not sure I exactly understand but you can add people from a historical record if they are not in Family Tree but at least one person in the historical record is in Family Tree. You do that by using the source linker to link the record to the existing record and then you can add the other people from the source linker. If that is what is failing further investigation would be needed an a specific situation where the issue is failing. That is why a screenshot was requested.
To use the source linker see the following help center article.

I have been working in Family Tree for many years, but cannot recall any change to this feature. Clicking on "Add" has always led to a screen from which a new individual is added. However, if that individual is already in a relationship with the rest of the family on the page (say the parents, if they are a child) there is a simple workaround to the problem of "automatically" adding the source. You click on "Change" (alongside the little "head and shoulders" icon) and choose the individual in question from the drop-down list. You should then (hopefully) find the name is aligned, left and right, and be able to click on "Attach" to add the source to that individual. Usually, you will find other siblings of the child are also then aligned on the page, so you can add the source to them, one by one.
It seems the problem in not being able to attach the source (often for a census record) for the whole family in "one go" is usually related to one of the parents having married more than once and one or more of the children being the child of the first or second wife. There are possibly other reasons, however, but changing the "focus" person (as described) should deal with the problem. Otherwise, if you did add the individual(s) manually you would later have to merge the newly created ID with the older (already existing) one.
