"Hungary Civil Registration, 1895-1980," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:7YYW-2FN2 : 3 November 2019), Povikássy Krisztina, 2 Jan 1945; citing Death, Budapest, Pest-Pilis-Solt-Kiskun, Magyarország, Archiv der Stadt Budapest (Archive of the City), Hungary.

Please kindly note that the Family name/Surname is WRONG in the above index! My grand-grandmother's correct surname is PÁKÁNY (wrongly indexed as Povikássy --- it is abosulety wrong reading, the correct surname is clear to read!!!!! Please ask volunteers to read and index more carefully as this mistake leads to a wrong direction in searching!!!!

Thanks,

Krisztina Párkány

    Dear Parkri,

This article from the Help Center will explain why sometimes the option to edit mistakes in indexed records is not available:

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/why-cant-i-fix-indexing-or-transcription-errors

We suggest that you attach the record as a source anyway and then add a Note in the Collaboration area or in the Reason Statement that the name was incorrectly indexed.

    Best wishes!
