How can I see how well I did on an indexing batch?
When I first started indexing many years ago, I had the ability to look back upon the batches I had indexed and see how well I did. I could see which fields I had indexed incorrectly (based on input from the other indexer and the reviewer), and I often used this to help improve the quality and accuracy of my indexing. I cannot find where I can do this now, if this ability still exists. If it available, please let me know how. If it is not, how can I recommend it be brought back?
Thanks,
Dustin

With the new Web indexing that ability to see how you indexed was removed.
You are welcome to suggest to be brought back:
From this page on your left panel click on Ideas, then click on Indexing. Clic on New Idea.
Write a title for your idea, and provide details of your suggestion.
Another way is from yur own indexing page, clic on the upper right corner of the record on Feedback; it will bring you back to Ideas- Indexing..
Hope it help s.

I asked this same thing. Please do make a suggestion to bring it back. I am going to do the same thing. I had indexed with it a long time ago and loved it. It made me a better indexer. I could learn what my mistakes were and improve.

There is a way to let FamilySearch (FS) know if an indexer needs a little more help. Under the help tab (with a batch open) there is a tab in the dropdown menu called Labs. In Labs a reviewer can turn on a special function that is being tested called "Reasons to Reindex Batch". This allows the reviewer to select a variety of things that the User needs training on or report malicious or abusive users. I don't know if FS is currently contacting users who need more help or just using this as a step in the process to figure out how to make those notifications. Perhaps a moderator or employee could address how that lab is being used at present.
In the old program, there was just as much a chance that an arbitrator would not understand the instructions as there was that they were correct. So, while you might have learned that you were making some mistakes, you might also have been led astray with incorrect arbitration. Hopefully this new idea works and will be of better benefit that the old system.
If you are really concerned about making a mistake, you can always share your batch in this group and ask for a preliminary review before you submit the batch.

Dustin, you can also please click on "Ideas" on the left of this page and then click on "Indexing" and you can make your suggestion there. Engineers are looking at that page often.
