As a FH Consultant a ward member returning member and is preparing to go the the temple asked:

My mother and father are separated, both are members, both have remarried in the church. He is looking to go to the temple to be sealed to his parents. So how does this work. He wants to be sealed to his mother and father. What does he do??

Part 5 of Policy in https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/policies-for-sealing-deceased-children-to-deceased-parents

"If all persons involved are deceased, no special approval is needed. If any of the parties is still alive, please see your priesthood leader."

As both parents are members, and remarried in the Church, some arrangement can be made, but I don't know what the priesthood leader will determine! You can be sealed to step father or step mother. And this will be sorted out in the eternities.

When someone wants to be a part of a live Sealing they need to contact their Bishop, as he needs to start the process for a live sealing

I do not believe live sealings are allowed in this situation.
