Do individuals in this group share a last name?

It looks like all of the individuals in these groups share a last name. Do I index as such, or since it is not written on each line index only the given name?

    From what is shown, 3-7 have same surname as 2. Hope this answers your question. Do the Field Helps assist you in this or Project instructions?

    It is always best to see a shared batch and not a screen shot. It is nearly impossible to correctly answer a question without seeing the full image, and reading the field helps and project instructions. To share a batch, you click on the third icon from the right and follow the instructions.

    IF this is the Virginia Death Project, (which it looks like the form), those people in lines 3-7 may not have a surname if they are slaves. The field helps tell us: Do not assume a surname for this person from the surname of another person mentioned in the document.
