I have attached my grandparents to both of my parents.

I have attached my mother's parents to my father by mistake. I cannot see how to disconnect the wrong parents without losing my mother's ancestral lines.

    Hi Susan,

Don't worry about this as it can be easily corrected. You will just need to remove your father as a child of the incorrect parents (your mother's parent's). The article below shows you how to do this

Correct parent-child relationships in Family Tree • FamilySearch

I hope this information is helpful in enabling you to correct your family tree. Please be reassured that all information on your mothers lines will remain intact.

I cannot open the link above. It seems to have pasted in incorrectly which I have found to be a common problem with Communities when a link is in its own paragraph. This should work: https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-correct-parent-child-relationships-in-family-tree

Or take a look at this post: https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/86330/how-do-delete-an-error-in-the-tree-specifically-child-of-one-spouse-added-to-the-wrong-spouse#latest
