Married couple"s connection might be lost -

The surname of a widow given with the first name of the departed spouse... is very likely to be the surname of the deceased at the time of the compiling of the pertinent record being indexed.

To wit: If the widow had been remarried at the time the current record was being compiled her "new married name" would have been used in the account, and, most likely, her prior "widowhood" not mentioned.

MORE IMPORTANTLY: A "RESEARCHER" having only the given and surname of the widow's deceased spouse - with no other record available - might never discover his ancestor's spouse.

I suggest, therefore, the widow's deceased spouse's entry - be entered as an additional indexed record with the surname given for his widow

Thank you, - and please consider and advise....
