attach record to person's identification number
In the familysearch app, I often go to a sources and see that the record is not attached to everyone mentioned. I see a person and know who it should be connected to, but it is not a person familysearch can see, as the name is different from the one in that person's record on familysearch. I want it to be easy to record of a person mentioned in the source, directly to a familysearch person Identification number, if I know exactly who it is the record refers to. Currently, I have to create a new person and later, find out the number of the new person I created and merge it with the correct person. If there were an option to, instead of creating a new person, put in the correct person's record Identification number, it would make things so much easier!

Please don't "get after" people for not knowing about every feature.
No one is "getting after" you. My parenthetical comment that this thread is more for Q and A, not Ideas, was for the benefit of the Community moderators. They have moved this thread out of Suggest an Idea to the more appropriate category.

The option you ask for is on the web interface here. The phone app works in a similar way.

Wow! That's ever-so-helpful! Thanks! I put this in the "suggest an idea" because I didn't know this feature already existed. I thought it was an idea for something that didn't exist. Please don't "get after" people for not knowing about every feature.
