This is a record from 1726 in the Eichen, Hessen area for Johann Andreas Mertz or Merz (I see a "t" cross in there.) legitimate son of Johann Wilhelm Mertz/Merz and Johanna Maria ????? of master Lorenz (again the "t") Bendor/Standor, citizen and huffschmitts and then the whole next line with maybe a town where they are from at the end. Any insight and help is most appreciated. Thank you!

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

Not that I can be of much help/assistance ...

    But ...

    That said ...

IF, you have not already; THEN ...

Can I humbly suggest that, you consider REPOSTING this REQUEST of yours, in a couple of 'Groups', in the 'Groups' Section, of the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.

[ As, we can NO LONGER, "Tag" posts such as yours, WITHIN the 'Groups', like we used to be able to do, in the previous version of the platform ... ]

In the hope that members of the 'Groups' will be able to help/assist you.

You will need to "Join" and become a member of those 'Groups', to post in them.

The two (x2) 'Groups' that I humbly suggest, would be:

    .

    Germany Genealogy Research

    https://community.familysearch.org/en/group/88-germany-genealogy-research

    https://community.familysearch.org/en/group/88-germany-genealogy-research

    .

    And ...

    .

    FamilySearch – Deutschsprachig

[ German speaking ... But, you can post in "English", responses will be any "Language" (eg. most likely, English; or, German; but, whatever) ... ]

    https://community.familysearch.org/en/group/71-familysearch-deutschsprachig

    https://community.familysearch.org/en/group/71-familysearch-deutschsprachig

    .

    I hope this helps.

    Good Luck.

Sorry about that, I thought I was posting it on my German feed group. I am really having a hard time with this new format. I keep reading and reading on how to post and I am just not getting it. Sorry. I will try again.

    No probs ...

    You are not alone ...

This change to a NEW "Platform", for the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, has 'throw everyone for six' ...

Many of the regular participants have, either, left; or, are, 'still trying to get a hold on things' ...

The OLD "Platform", for the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, was MUCH more, BOTH, "User Friendly"; and, "Intuitive"; plus, NOT to mention, the ability, to SIMPLY ,"Tag" the 'Questions', INTO the various 'Groups', on mass, in one go.

As far as I was aware, the OLD "Platform", for the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, was 'getting on' (ie. becoming 'outdated'); and, did not have some "Management" 'Tools', that the Management of the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, wanted.

This is too bad; as, it would have been much better to have the "Management" 'Tools', that the Management of the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, wanted, ADD to the OLD "Platform", for the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, if that were possible, rather than the NEW "Platform" that we have now - well, at least, until the latter was MUCH more, BOTH, "User Friendly"; and, "Intuitive".

    Just my thoughts.

    Brett
