Printing completed Ordinance list
Hi Folks
I would like to see an improvement in the way the completed ordinances show in the completed ordinance file. So I am able to print the list.
At the moment, each person shows twice for each ordinance: Once for Baptism and once for Confirmation on separate lines instead of showing on one line for the same person.
I like to keep a hard copy of ordinances done now that we dont have the Family File card to keep.
Hope it improves

In the Completed Ordinance List, select Options at the top right of the browser screen and change from "Individual Ordinances" to "Group by ID". Then you can print each person you are interested in.

As, 'Amy' has proffered ...
There is the opportunity, for us, to "Print" a "List", of the "Temple" Work", that has been "Completed" (as far back as, April 2019; or, there 'abouts'), for our Ancestors; where, that "Temple" Work is "Grouped" together for each Ancestor, within our "Temple" (Work) 'Tab' itself.
But ...
That said ...
That printing capability, is basic, in that:
(1) there is NO actual 'delineation' of the "Grouped" Work for a particular ancestor
.... [ as, in the 'On-Line' page/screen; as, there is a 'Line' separating each "Ordinance" ]; and,
(2) the "Temple" Work, for an particular individual/person, CAN finish up being 'Broken' across Two (x2) pages
It would be SO much better, if 'FamilySearch', enhanced the existing "Print" feature/function/facility; so that:
(1) there was a distinct 'delineation' (ie. 'Line') of the Work for a particular ancestor
.... [ and, a much "Fainter" (ie. 'Line') 'delineation' separating each "Ordinance" ]
.... [ in fact, there may even be the case, for no need for any such 'Line' at all ]; and,
(2) the "Temple" Work, for an individual/person, DID NOT allow the Work, for a particular individual/person, to be 'Broken' across Two (x2) pages (ie. ALWAYS on the SAME page).
And ...
Furthermore ...
As you intimated; as, we NO LONGER get the opportunity, to RETAIN the FINAL (individual) "Temple" 'Cards', with ALL the "Completed" Work, for a particular Ancestor (and/or, Couple); because, the "Temples" NO LONGER "Return" the "Temple" 'Cards' ...
It would ALSO be excellent, if 'FamilySearch', Developed; and, Implemented, a "Print" feature/function/facility, from WITHIN our "Temple" (Work) 'Tab' itself, to print a FINAL (individual) "Temple" 'Card', in the "Normal" FORMAT of a "Temple" 'Card', with ALL the "Completed" Work, for a particular Ancestor (and/or Couple); as, there are MANY of us (from around the MANY 'Other' parts of the "World") who STILL like (in fact, LOVE) to RETAIN the "Temple" 'Cards', of our Ancestors, that are "Completed".
Such feature/function/facility to print a FINAL (individual) "Temple" 'Card', in the "Normal" FORMAT of a "Temple" 'Card', with ALL the "Completed" Work, for an Ancestor, COULD also be ENABLED to print a NUMBER of such 'Cards' per 'Page', on, either, an International Standards Organization "A4" Sheet of paper (210mm x 297mm); or, an American Standard "Letter" size Sheet of paper (8.5 inches by 11 inches), rather than just ONE per page.
[ Just perhaps ... that is in the 'pipeline' ... who knows ... ]
Just a thought.
And ...
Just in case ...
Humbly submitted for the, information; attention; and, consideration, of 'FamilySearch'.

Hi Amy and Brett
Thankyou so much for your comments, they are greatly appreciated.
Brett I totally agree with your comments re: printing of Temple cards.
I did as Amy suggested but the list still uses way too much paper (We need to conserve our trees) My husband wants to print his completed Temple list and there are 15 Pages. Way too many.
I guess the issue for the progammers is to figure out how to add the ordinances once completed to the same person on the list.
Our solution is to take a screen shot of Ordinances once complete and add them to their personal folder on my PC. Although I have been told that this is not proof of ordinances done. 😲
If any one has any other idea I'd be interested to know. 👀

FYI
You CAN just 'Select'; and. print, ONE individual/person, on that "List", at a time, rather than printing the WHOLE "List", in one go; but, that can STILL equate to a 'waste' of "Paper", to some degree.
'Yes', keeping a DIGITAL "Screenshot", is one way to go ... but, certainly, NOT, like a "Hard-Copy", as well ...
But ...
That said ...
As the "Ordinances" ONLY stay on our "List" for x2 Years ... and, just so one does not loose them ...
Just a passing thought ...
And, in ADDITION to a DIGITAL "Screenshot" Copy ...
What about "Saving" (and, keeping) as a DIGITAL "PDF" Copy, as well ...
IF, needs be; THEN, one can "Print" , the DIGITAL Copy of, either, the "Screenshot"; and/or, the "PDF".
[ Best of BOTH Worlds, so to speak ... ]
Personally ...
I would still LOVE to have that "Printed" (ie. "Hard-Copy" of the) FINAL (individual) "Temple" 'Card', in the "Normal" FORMAT of a "Temple" 'Card', with ALL the "Completed" Work, for an Ancestor, for my "Shoebox" ...
BETTER STILL ...
Deep down ...
I REALLY "Want" to RETAIN the ACTUAL (ie. "Hard-Copy" of the) "Final" (individual) "Temple" 'Card', of my Ancestor, used to (actually) perform/undertake the Work, with ALL the "Completed" Work - as a REAL, tangible, "Keepsake" (with that 'Red' "Tick"; and, "Temple" Stamp, with 'Date').
It is a real shame, that the "Temple" Department of the Church, has gone with the DECISION (and, Policy/Procedure), of "Temples" NOT / NO LONGER "Returning" the "Temple" 'Cards' as "Ordinances" are "Completed"; and, especially, HAVING to "Print" a NEW "Temple" 'Card' for EACH Ordinance.
I am very well aware of what the "Reasons" for the NONE "Return" of the "Temple" 'Cards' as "Ordinances" are "Completed" - but, such does not help.
One of the main reasons 'touted', was that for the "Temples" in the "Utah Valley", ONLY about 6% of the "Temple" 'Cards', where the "Ordinances" were "Completed", were actually being "Collected" by Patrons.
I well understand that; as, in Utah, the majority of Members are NOT "Working" on their DIRECT or very close Ancestors; but, are more so "Working" 'way out' in the 'periphery', on the VERY "Extended" 'Branches'. Plus, as "they" have so many "Temples", 'close a hand', "they" can go with 'Short' time at hand - do the Work; and, leave, not wanting or waiting for the Work to be "Processed" by the "Temple".
Such is NOT the case for MANY of us, from around the MANY 'Other' parts of the "World".
I know that, when we were visiting, the the MANY "Temples" in the "Utah Valley", that we were more than happy to 'Wait' for the "Processing", of the "Temple" 'Cards', after each "Ordinance" was "Completed", just to REATIN the ORGINAL "Temple" 'Card'.
And, another main reason that was 'touted', was that the "Temples" would NOT feel so 'Pressured" in/during the the "Processing", of the "Temple" 'Cards,' after each "Ordinance" was "Completed"; and, ALLOW for a SECONDAY "Processing" as a measure to 'stamp-out' ERRORS (ie. Work NOT being "Processed").
There is a very EASY solution to (ie. way around) that problem/issue of "Pressure" during the "Processing", of the "Temple" 'Cards,' after each "Ordinance" was "Completed" - very, simple indeed, just get MORE "Volunteer" OFFICE Workers.
I know, I for one, would be more than happy to do so, by providing additional (Office) "Support", on top of what I already do.
I am sorry ... off my 'Soap Box' ...

Glad you are "Off" your soap box and yes agree with what you say.
Still like my idea of taking ascreen shot.

Hi Folks, I had another Idea, Take a photo of the completed card, once completed, but then we would need to go to the office to do that before the cards are shredded.
Maybe one day we will all need to take our phones into the temple and the cards will be digital.
Time will tell 😊
