I am doing birth records but in the place of birth spot there is a name but I can't read what it says. What should I do?
You could share your batch to get some opinions on what it says.
To share a batch, click on the third icon from the right and follow the instructions.
You can share the batch code and title of the project too. The batch code is the numbers and letters in brackets next to the name of the project at the top of the screen.
Unreadable should really only be used if the information can't be read due to a bad image or perhaps something like an ink blot, a torn page, or missing letters. Here is the information from the General Indexing Guidelines on Unreadable Information:
Some information may be difficult to read because of damage to a document or other factors. You can represent unreadable information in various ways, depending on how much information is unreadable.
There's a function if you do Control (or ctrl) U it will mark that field unreadable, if that's useful.
