I add COUNTLESS 'links' (URLs) to EXTERNAL 'On-Line' Websites in the, "Life Sketch"; and, "Reason Statements"; and, other places.
I would love to 'see' those 'links' (URLs); as, being DIRECTLY selectable (ie. accissible), from those places; and, opening in another 'Tab'; or, new 'Window'.
I hope this supports your idea/thoughts.
Great suggested enhancement.
