Request Help to Translate a Letter from or to my Grandfather (Mikołaj Jan Ryś)
Greetings!
I can across the attached 2 page letter (jpg) dated, Oct 19th on a Miami Florida USA hotel letterhead.
It may have been written to or from my grandfather (Mikołaj Jan Ryś) in the early 1970's. Because of handwriting style, I am unable to translate it and gain any meaningful understanding.
Would someone translate it for me? I don't necessarily need it word-for-word but just give me any high points (names, dates, locations, ...).
Thanks!
Gary Neuder

This is word per word translation of the letter.
From Nick Rys
Hotel Miller, 229 N.E. First Ave, Miami, Florida 33101
Dated Monday, October 19th.
Hello Dear Family.
I am writing to you few words to let you know that I am well and that the travel was good, but a little long, as it was 33 hours. I think going back I will fly. I like it here, but it is a little too hot, 85 degrees during the day, and 78 degrees at night. There are too many people from Cuba, and as I become more acquainted with the area, I will write more. Please send me your letters. I am sending you a picture of this Hotel. It is very nice. I will write more next time. Goodbye and please write me few words, what is happening with everyone. Please give my kind regards to all, and goodbye.

You may find more information about Rys family in Poland, searching in geneszukacz.genealodzy.pl also in stevemorse.org for Ellis Island passenger lists, ancestry.com and MyHeritage if you have access to those subscription sites, which would be free in Family History Library in Salt Lake City and Family History Centers in your neighborhood when they are opened after the pandemic ends.
There is a family tree with photo of Mikolaj Jan Rys in ancestry.com and his data.

@Gary Neuder Most of the time, it is best to use "ask a question" - do this by selecting the arrow to the right of "new discussion". Asking a question allows you to accept the answer or let us know you would like more help. I was able to change this post to a question for you.
Be sure to review the links at the top of our community page for some great resources. We look forward to hearing from you. We are so glad you are part of this great community!

Greetings Maria! I appreciate the translation of my grandfather's letter.
Greetings Cindy! Sorry I'll do better next time. Finding the community each time is not easy but I persevere.
To you both, thanks for the hints. Most of what is available on FS or Ancestry on my RYS line was provided by myself with others adding flesh to the twigs. I will revisit those sites you suggested as it's been some time.
Best wishes!
