Adult Supervision

When individuals, less than 18 years of age, submit data regarding the vital information of ancestors, I would suggest that someone with research experience review the data to be submitted before it is actually entered into Family Tree? I feel the implementation of this idea would reduce the confusion of submitted information.

Signed,

unless there is a major policy change you will never hear if a suggestion is going to be implemented. most suggestions that are accepted do not actually get implemented for quite a long time and they just appear without any announcement of the upcoming change.

I must admit that I was quite shocked that children are allowed to have an account in their own name - I believe from age 9. Nevertheless, when I get responses from users I have (politely) contacted regarding really dreadful work in Family Tree (incorrect merges, etc.), it is obvious most are not children. (Probably completely at the other end of the age scale!)

Regardless, surely a 9 year old is far to young to be able to carry out such work, but I would have thought many under-18s would be quite capable of handling most of the processes.
