Intelligent portrait selection
When I click on the portrait icon and go to select a group photo to use as the portrait, a terrible thing happens: It gives no indication of which face in the image is the person I'm selecting a portrait for. Someone (maybe me) has already carefully drawn a rectangle around the face for this person and attached it to Family Tree. Now I'm looking at a group photo with several faces, and I don't remember which one is this ancestor. And there is no highlight when I hover to help.
Please do the following:
- Automatically initialize the circle so that it approximately encloses the rectangular tag that has already been chosen for the face of this person. This will almost always be the right thing to do, and would require only minor adjustment if we weren't quite zoomed in right. This should be super easy--barely an inconvenience.
- It would also be helpful to provide hover-over pop-up squares and names. But this might not be totally necessary if #1 is done.
I was also disappointed that after merging two persons (one with a portrait into one without) that it didn't transfer my portrait over to the surviving person, but left the survivor with a blank portrait. That's when I had to go in and choose from a group photo and found that I wasn't sure which was right; so I had to open that photo in a separate tab, use the highlight over there to figure out the right person; and then remember that when I got back to tagging the portrait. This could be so much simpler.
