A Comment on Legacy of Faithful Women.
Dear FamilySearch Community,
I sent the following message this morning after receiving email showing my ancestors in the Legacy of Faithful Women project. Perhaps someone here can answer my question about how to share....
"What a treasure to wake to find a message sharing the Legacy of Faithful Women in my mail this morning!
I served for 16 years at the Trail Center at Historic Winter Quarters seeking information of pioneer ancestry for visitors. I am a member of the Historical Pioneer Research Group, Inc. as well as having served a mission, and that group has worked with others to create an database of those who were in the Winter Quarters, Kanesville area 1846 – 1863 or so.
I am a convert to the church and thought that I was the only member in my family at the time of my baptism. When the Church began the “View My Relationship” link I found that wasn’t so as most of the pioneers I did research on (and there were hundreds) I am related to. The story of sisters you sent to me through the Legacy of Faithful Women is such a blessing. I descend from these strong faithful women. They are from my father’s line, a line I felt had never even had the opportunity to hear the restored gospel. Yet, they walked were I have walked in historic areas of Winter Quarters and Kanesville and the surrounding areas. They did hard things and that grit came down through the generations, they are an inspiration to carry on even in the face of my life difficulties.
Is it possible to share this presentation of my family to others, perhaps on Facebook?
Thank you so much for sharing!"
