This is a link for US—Bureau of Land Management Tract Books. There are many names, but only boxes for two entries. Which are the important names?

Hi Marianne. Thanks for sharing the batch. On the other land grant records we indexed there is a record created for each individual transaction. The instructions seem the same on this project: Create an entry for every separate transaction, even if the name is the same.

I would index every individual for each sale date and IF there happens to be one where it makes sense to add the Other party (seller or buyer) to the same record as the example shows, then I would.

These instructions and examples aren't the best I've seen. You could certainly ask your question in Indexing Chat and see if someone has the best answer!
