why arent text formatting options working??

bold, underline, bullets etc . . .

Bulletting seems to work automatically if I do newline, hyphen, space, text...

It appears that it is because it has been "improved" (again) 😖

I'm not exactly sure about this (since this new formatting control is not only unintuitive, it's just plain impossible to understand), but it appears that what format controls are there have been well hidden. While in a paragraph try clicking on the paragraph marker to the left of the text field you are entering.

Pretty cryptic and unlike anything I've ever seen elsewhere.
