Trying to find the birthplace of my gr grandfather, Michael Wersch
Can anyone tell me where in Poland these places are that are listed on Michael's naturalization app and his death certificate? Thank you so much!

Please check MyHeritage for Emilia Wersch, born Eisenbrenner, as there is information about her birth in Zhitomir, Volhynia Evangelical Parish and her marriage to Michael Wersch in Zhitomir December 27th, 1883. There are also indexed births of her siblings which you can find in SGGEE
I found the birth place of some siblings of Emelia Wersch (born Eisenbrenner) based on MyHeritage, using Sggee a Society for German Eastern European Research

Thank you, Maria. I actually already have all of the documents you listed here. My question is about the birthplace of Michael Wersch as described in his naturalization and death record. The death record looks like Skove. Oblew Poland. Does this mean anything to you?

Michael Wersch was married in Zhytomyr in Ukraine on the 27th December 1883, area, which long time ago was Polish. We have Evangelical records from Zhytomyr in Family History Library, but I cannot read German. It would be FHL Microfilm No. 4280585 Item 3. pages 404-535. It is possible that in this marriage record there is information where Michael Wersch was born and that is written more clearly. It is also possible that he was born within current Poland area, as many German settlers migrated to Volhynia from Poland. But there are no places like Skove/Skore/Sakof/Sakow, near Oblew/Oblewo that I can find. Please check with Germany Research Community, as they may be able to help.
