Add Spouse box
Add the function to remove add Spouse box from single ancestor. This would keep the tree neater and not have unnecessary unused boxes.

That is an oft suggested/requested enhancement.

But ...
That said ...

I DO NOT think that such a suggested/requested enhancement will ever be implemented.
.
We all make mistakes ...
None of us are perfect ...

No matter how much, we think we know; or, we have researched, we just DO NOT know EVERYTHING.
.
There are always 'Skeletons in the Closet' ...
.
I myself have come across, individuals/persons, that ANOTHER User/Patron, indicated that they DID NOT "Marry" or have a "Couple" Relationship; when, in fact, they DID "Marry" or have a "Couple" Relationship.
.
IF, you give Users/Patrons the option to "Remove" that "+ Add Spouse" Option; THEN, some (in fact, most) Users/Patrons WILL take it for granted that the individual/person, DID NOT "Marry" or have a "Couple" Relationship; and, go no further; when, in fact, they DID - just NOT 'found' by the User/Patron who "Removed" that "+ Add Spouse" Option.

Nowadays, on the "Person/Details" page/screen, you have the Option, in the "Other Information" Section, under "Facts", that there was "NO Couple Relationships", for an individual/person, just select that, add a "Reason Statement"; and, "Save".
.
Plus ...
As well as the aforementioned ...
.
You can add copious "Notes" (in fact, the SAME "Note", in each spot) to what you believe is the case ...
.
eg.
▬ Life Sketch;
▬ Other Information
▬ ▬ Facts
▬ ▬ ▬ Custom Fact; and,
▬ Collaboration, both,
▬ ▬ Notes; and,
▬ ▬ Discussions
...... [ "Discussions" currently CANNOT be "Deleted"/"Removed" by others ]
.
It may seem OVERKILL ...
.
But ...
That said ...
.
That way, you 'cover all the bases' ...
And, NO User/Patron can say that they "Missed that" ...
[ Unfortunately, some will; but, you cannot make it 'foolproof' ... ]
.
