Batch size varies widely

I've been working on New Jersey County Naturalization records. The sizes of these batches can be anything from 3 records to the one I just finished, which was ledger pages that netted over 400 entries for the batch. Those have been taking me about 1.5 hours per page. I've noticed that this project is going slowly, and this may be one reason--it's like a box of chocolates: you never know what you're going to get. :) Is there a way to break this down differently? Maybe all the single-record pages could be a project and all the ledger pages another. But please! Only one ledger page per batch! (My last batch was NJ-County Naturalization Records 1761-1931 [Part B][MSRR-C4C].)

Agree with you. It is not only on naturalization records, but other projects as well. Support is making the batches too long and while I'm not indexing them, I'm reviewing them. It takes much too long and if you get a batch that has a lot of errors on it, this forces the reviewer to give up and return it rather than to finish it to completion. If it was only a short batch, we would more likely complete it but no one is going to try to go on with a batch that has a lot of errors and is too many pages long.
