I am trying to make sure if I should merge GHP7-ZCK, KL91-TTX, and MJGK-NWY. To figure out places,

Birthplaces are indexed as Glemann (can't find that place) and Kryl. Are those correct?

Also, is there anything that suggests they already have a child together?

Thank you so much! You are all amazing!

Christening for the bride is found here. https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?bsid=411682#411682,75954944 She is born in the village of Kryl in the parish of Hune. 1840 census for Johanne with her parents and siblings. Clipboard01

    Rasmus KHSN-VBP

can be see with family in this documented entry. Notice you have a conflicting birth year of 1829 in FS for Rasmus. The marriage tells he was born in Ranum, a village in Bjornsholm. The indexed place of his birth is an error. Clipboard02

Yes, the couple did have Maren b. 1858 prior to their marriage.

When you aren't sure about merging, it's best to continue studying each person until it is very clear to you that based on records they are the same or they are not. If in doubt do not do it. I have not stepped in to merge what I know is correct so that you can have an opportunity to practice this skill.

Rasmus GHP7-ZCK has no birth, christening info entered, but there are hints on the right you could review and see if it matches his spouse and child. If they do, then you'll have more info on both Rasmus and Johanne GH13-G6Y that you can come compare with other records for possible merging. (spoiler alert, there are accurate duplicates to be merged).

Thank you once again Shari! The place that was indexed incorrectly that you were able to identify was very helpful! I have fixed the birth date problem. An error in the record, actually. Gives the bride and groom the same birth year, but says he's 35 and she's 25. The parent names in the record were helpful as well. Also, able to verify with sources that the Rasmus Christian Simonsen that you found did not have that wife (sources prove it) and so he was actually able to be merged with one of the others based on birth date, place, and parent names. I still haven't figured out everything since they seem to have moved around so much, but I'm well on my way!
