I am looking for help merging two profiles. One says deceased and the other says living. Same person
see if the system lets you remove the death date on the one marked as deceased.0
Here is an article from the HELP CENTER ( a great resource for questions like this)

I don’t think FSFT allows us to merge living people0
it does if they are both on the same account - which would be the only ones you could see.0
in other words if you have two living people on your acocunt - you can merge them.
but in this case it is the deceased record that is the issue
and this deceased record once it is marked as living - will then - disappear from public view.
so in a round about way you are kind of right - in the end she wont merge them - but the deceased one will disappear.0
When the person is very much alive, only you should be able to see them. So, if you have found a living person with a record that says they are deceased, here is an article that will help:
I had this happen with some of my family members who were alive. I didn't create the records and couldn't change the status to deceased. But, FamilySearch did.
But only by using the "Merge by ID" function0
