@brycelaw brycelaw I wonder if you could re-word that so it's a little more clear what you're asking. Are you asking if you can add a 2nd FHC Director (now called "Leader") to your stake? IF that's the question, the answer is no. Stake clerks enter the people assigned to various callings anyway, but the FHC Director (Leader) position only has an allowance for one person to be the Leader. Within a stake, that stake may decide to designate a 2nd person to be an assistant, but that's not shown to FamilySearch personnel when you call the Support number, for example - it would only be a designation that the particular stake president has chosen to make in his stake. While the "Director" position in FHCs was reworded a year or so ago to "Leader," there isn't an "administrator" position.
The position of FHC Leader is entered by the stake clerk as "Stake Temple and Family History Consultant -- Family History Center," which means that person is not only a stake family history consultant, he or she is also specifically assigned to serve as the FHC Leader (formerly Director). Your stake president can have other people called as Stake Temple and Family History Consultants, and even actually get multiple people added with the "-- Family History Center" suffix at the end, but only one of them will be counted by Salt Lake as the Leader at a time. It would just be the stake president's prerogative to locally designate a 2nd person as an assistant, for example. There have been some stakes that have locally chosen to have a husband/wife team be co-directors (which was our case when called), but only one of them is considered by "Salt Lake" as the single director (leader). The assistant would be a local designation.
If you meant something else with your question, please reword it or be more specific. Thanks.

We need to clarify A Stake may call any number of Leads for there stake but there is only one assigned to each FHC. So if your want an Assistant the Assistant would or should have the same stake calling as STFHC-FHC as you but would on the current paperwork only one of you would be the lead and the other an assistant lead. IF there were more than one FHC in the Stake each would have a lead and COULD have one or more assistant leads. However in the calling they would all look the same and be called as STFHC-FHC. Which simply means the are called a Stake Temple and Family History Consultants assigned to lead a Family History Center. Again for the Stake Clerk there is no limit to the number of individuals that may have that Calling in the Stake but in the current Family History Database we can only have one Leader and two Assistant Leads per Family History Center.
