If the information such as a death date and location is not already present then the information will move from left column to right column on the source linker screen. If there is already information such as a birth date listed, it will not override the information. You must go to the person's profile page and edit the information there. It helps with accuracy to go back and edit rather than click the change quickly, slows people down because too many people just click away.
