Is there a resource to get help to identify old family photos?

    can you provide a litlte more detail?

    Truth is your greatest resource is usually not a technical one -

    but simply reaching out to relatives and extended cousins who might have info you are looking for.

    have you tried Googles Image search

     

    https://www.google.com/imghp?hl=en

     

    click on the camera icon and then click on upload image

     

    it will look for the same image across the internt and hopefully someoen else has it identified.

     

    but dont hold your breath. . .

    I too hope to identify some old photos - and it would be great if there was something to facilitate that. I have boxes of photos and no one to ask. My husband is the last of his family - an only child and only grandchild on both sides, and we have photos but he has no idea who they are. No cousins except distant ones, and I'm sure as I've added information on the family tree I probably have pictures of some of these people but don't know who they are. Some have been identified and maybe some are pictures of them as children. Most of them date back to the late 1800s. I don't want to throw them in the trash - so would love to be able to preserve them digitally
