Clicking on a name

I wish that, when you clicked on a name wherever you might be in FamilySearch, it would automatically open the person in a new tab. I would much rather close an old tab than lose the tab of the person I was on. And I wish I could just click the name once to make this happen. I feel like we usually want to go to the Person, not the Tree, so I would rather go to Person (in a new tab) with one click. Then, from there, I could click on Tree if I wanted to go there.

Depending on the browser you are using, you normally can do this right now. Some browsers give that option when you right click on a PC. On the Macintosh using Safari, you hold down the Command key when you click to get a new tab and hold down the Command-option keys when you click to get a new window.

Note that although this usually works, FS has intentionally disable those normal browser functions in some places. In that case you'll need to open a new tab or window first and then click through to what you want.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. If there is a specific reason this functionality does not exist(like browser/OS restrictions), an explanation would be helpful. Perhapes FS could create a tutorial?
