Article about better quality digitised microfilm may be of interest to FamilySearch.

From the Internet Archive, "Computerworld Archives: Back From Vintage Microfilm"

There have been comments in the past from a FS employee that digitised microfilm was not of sufficient quality to make into a book for a file for the FamilySearch Digital Library, even though Digital Libraries, including the Internet Archive, have been producing book files from digitised microfilm for YEARS. Here is an article about even higher quality digitisation being available.

As the FamilySearch digitisation of microfilms does not yet seem to be complete, perhaps there will be something of interest in this article from which FamilySearch could benefit.

Also I would like to ask again that digitised microfilms of books be made available in the FamilySearch Digital Library.
