Drop Down lists
Cork Church Records
When I click on the question mark attached to the residence field the first sentence is "Select the locality from the drop-down list". There is no drop down list which confused me. Later in the notes it states "if a drop-down list has not been provided". I think this fact should be noted earlier in the instructions.
Opening sentence should perhaps be "Select the locality from the drop-down list, if one has been provided". Te rest of the instructions may need to be reviewed as well.

I am confused ...
WHAT Part of 'FamilySearch' are you referring to?
▬ Family Tree?
▬ ▬ Searching
▬ Indexing?
▬ (Records) Search?
▬ Somewhere else?
Please advise.

Hi Brett, It's when indexing the Cork, Ireland Church Records, in the residence field when you clieck the queston mark for field help yje first sentence says to select the residence from the drop down list. There is no drop down list. It's only later in the help filed that it states there may not be a drop down list. This afct should probably be mentioned in the first sentence eg "Pick Location from the drop down list. Note that there may not be a dropdown list. If so, please read further list read further for instructions".
That's on;y a suggestion. someone may want to phrase it differently.

Enigmatic.
.
As this relates to "Indexing" ...
.
FYI
.
Just a suggestion ...
.
For a possibly quicker response ...
.
Can I humbly suggest that you post this problem/issue of yours in the 'Group' being "Indexing Chat" in the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum; so that, the members of that group can answer/assist you.
.
Here is the direct 'link' to that 'Group':
.
Indexing Chat
https://community.familysearch.org/s/group/0F93A000000LissSAC/indexing-chat
.
Description: Welcome! Come in and ask indexing and review questions, offer your help, share your stories, and find friendship.
.
There is a wealth of experience in that 'Group' (both of, "indexers"; and, "Reviewers").
.
And, it is more likely to be quickly passed onto the right people in 'FamilySearch', if need be.
.
By the way, that 'Group' is a "Public" group, which may join, if you so desire.
.
I hope this helps.
