Oh dear, am I missing something, where have the links to Community and the WIKI gone?? The old Help menu under the question mark was useful with links to Help Centre, Learning Centre, Community, Wiki etc. Please please put them back, I do no like to new look at all, not clear or helpful at all

Links to the Help Center and Community are at the bottom of the new Help window.

The link to the Research Wiki was duplicated under the Help in the past. It is found under Search.

Thank you Amy, but it was just so much clearer the way it was, and being able to find links in a couple of places is a good thing, duplication not bad at all. We will now need to amend all our handouts, training etc, I know that changes are often made for the better but I really feel this is not one of them at all!!

    .

    I TOTALLY agree ...

    .

    Both of these apply ...

    .

    (1) the "KISS" principle ... keep it simple, stupid ... SIMPLICITY.

    and.

    (2) the old adage ... if it ain't broke, don't fix it ...

    .

Too many NEW Young Programmers/Designers/Developers ...

    .

Too many NEW progamming techniques/ideas (ie. "Codes") ...

[ For some inexplicable & unknown reason, they ALL have to be, tried; &, applied. ]

    .

    "Change" is inevitable ...

    .

    BUT ...

    That said ...

    .

"Change" for the SAKE of change, is NOT required.

    .

    And ...

    .

Unfortunately, it seems that there is a 'feeling'/'push' that the (Old/Original) "Web" (Computer) version of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' MUST "Mirror" the (NEW) "Mobile" (ie. Smart Phones and Tablets) Application version of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

    .

Far from the latter is the truth ...

    .

In fact, just the opposite is the case ...

    .

'YES', the (Old/Original) "Web" (Computer) version of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; and, (NEW) "Mobile" (ie. Smart Phones and Tablets) Application version of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', CAN have the SAME functionality.

    .

BUT, the (Old/Original) "Web" (Computer) version of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; and, (NEW) "Mobile" (ie. Smart Phones and Tablets) Application version of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', CAN (and, SHOUH) have the DIFFERENT design and development - WITHOUT compromising functionality.

    .

    Just my thoughts.

    .

    Brett

    .

ps: Each to their own ...

    .

I was surprised at first at the change in help center but I have found the change very user friendly. You can start typing a question instead to clicking right into another window. Read the FamilySearch Blog article from Aug 11, 2020 for a description of how the help is better. I find that is an improvement and can help more new users as it knows if you are on home page, person page or pedigree etc and offers FAQ for those specific pages. Change can be hard to adjust but this seems to be very helpful improvement in my opinion.
