Directly share requested names with Temple
I enter hundreds of names beyond what I can do ordinances for and want to have the option to immediately share with temple when I request an ordinance. As is it is very inefficient as I have to request for myself, then search on the name and share with temple. This should be an obvious option when the name is first requested. Thanks!

It is not as bad as it used to be as I can now directly share with temple after I have requested without having to search my temple list. But it would still be nice to have the option to directly share with temple when requesting.

I understand your wish ...
.
And, it is commendable that you are finding so many Ancestors to be submitted to the "Temple".
But ...
That said ...
.
Personally, I would NOT like to see such an 'Option', as you propose, available; as, I am certain that too many Member User/Patrons would make the mistake of "Share[ing] with the Temple System", in the first instance, instead of "Reserving" for themselves - and, most importantly, no realise what they had done until it was too late to change that (ie. the Work is done through the "Temple" System, robbing them of doing the Work themselves).
.
People make mistakes, we are all guilty of it ...
.
The CURRENT two (x2) step process is still the BEST.
.
Although, the current two (x2) step process is 'tiresome' for 'power' Member Users/Patrons like you (and, myself), it truly is not all that of a 'nuisance'.
.
I prefer the 'Status quo' or 'Statu quo' to remain as is ...
.
Sorry.

Tony, it sounds like you want to be able to Reserve and the Share with temple in a single step. If that is the case, I'm not sure that it would be "convenient" to the software folks. It's technical, but I believe that when an ordinance state operation (such as reserving or unsharing ordinances) is performed, the system needs a bit of time to distribute that state change to all other servers in the farm. So I suspect that FS might have intentionally avoided the ability to combine those activities into a single step which could generate race conditions in the system.
Anyway, I'm not an employee there, and it might be possible to implement it, but my guess is that since it would actually complicate the code to do so, it probably won't be considered.
I work in much the same way and I understand where you are coming from. Someone from FS might respond here relative to your question to provide more information.
