Joseph Paul Marcel Blais said: On the Galery Slideshow on Familysearch that we can share on facebook or email. It's a good idea. But we don't see the name of the photos we shared. Is it possible to make this possible for us to put the title so that people will see the name of our ancestors?

Roger Bell said: Thank you for your suggestion -- I like the idea. To clarify, you are asking for an option to have the title text display on each slide where a title has been applied.

Often a title doesn't contain names, so I wanted to be sure you were not asking for the person tags to display which is something more difficult and would eliminate names for living people.

Tom Huber said: I have more than one family photograph that contains well over a dozen people. These were family reunion and 50th wedding anniversary photographs. Privacy laws prohibit us from displaying the names of living people and in my case, I am working with photographs from the 1920s where no person in the photograph(s) is(are) still alive.

Providing a list of all the tagged people would flood any description to the point where it would be unusable.

Maybe Familysearch can permit only those who are deceased or born before 110 years ago? they can program the site so that those mistake cannot happen.

When I shared my Slideshow via email, a named link (although you cannot click on it) appears in the email that needs to be put into the window browser. What I then did was copy what appeared in the browser window and then re-sent it via email. It was then easier for the person that I sent it to to click on to it to get to the slideshow.

What was easier was to just "copy" what was in my browser window when looking at my slideshow page and send this link in the email. That way, it was easier to click on to but the name of the Slideshow doesn't appear. It only shows the designated number at the end. A good feature would be able to have the name of the Slideshow at the end instead of a designated number. That way the person receiving it would know which Slideshow it is (in case you sent more than one).

I also found when I tried posting the slideshow to Facebook that I couldn't seem to find a "Groups" option. I wanted to send the slideshow to a Family Group only but not to my Facebook Friends or have to individually choose the friends that I had to send it to.

Did I not see how to do this or is it not possible to send the slideshow to a Facebook Group?
