Unreserve "sealed to parents". Separate reserving it from other ordinance.

Rebecca McKay said: I don't want to reserve "seal to parents" on this person because the parents have no marriage date and have not been sealed, themselves. Until their marriage is found and reserved, or their marriage ordinance has been performed, then I would like to reserve the child's "sealed to parents" ordinance. The system doesn't let me separate sealed to parents from other ordinances that I have reserved.

Tom Huber said: This has been discussed before.

The SP (Sealing to Parents) ordinance belongs to the child of those parents, not the parents and is part of the child's individual ordinances.

You may never find a marriage record, but if there is proof that the parents lived together and both were involved (one way or another) in supporting and raising the child, then the ordinance should be completed for the child (after the child's other ordinances are performed).

Jeff Wiseman said: Tom I've run into this where you might only want to reserve for E and SP comes along for the ride. attempting to unreserve it unreserves the E ordinance as well.

Same problem exists when sharing to the temple. it's locked together and you can't separate it from the others. I think that it's been like this ever since the new temple icon colors were introduced.

Tom Huber said: Yeah, FamilySearch has mentioned that they are or were working on a solution so that we can reserve just the endowment.

Lynne Stanley said: It might have been fixed now. A day or two ago, I was able to reserve the "SP" separately from the "E" which was also available. I didn't want the "E" ordinance for a male individual.

Lynne Stanley said: Or maybe not. I went back to it and the "E" was previously shared with Temple. But the "SP" was not. Maybe that is why I was able to reserved just the "SP". I tried it again on another person and E and SP were blocked together.

Tom Huber said: That shared with the temple E previously prevented the SP from being reserved. That’s now fixed which is why you were able to reserve the SP by itself.
