Elevating Divorce over Marriage

Currently, f I want the divorce to be what I see when I look at a couple, I have to remove the marriage as an event, and only list the divorce as an event, adding the marriage information as a note in the editing flyout instead of in the event field.
Would like the option to select which event shows on the detail page (or for both to show). To me, this would be less confusing than seeing two or more marriages for the same person when all spouses lived past second and subsequent marriages. Plus, having both as events puts them both in the timeline.

There are instances where a marriage takes place, followed by a divorce, followed by a remarriage of the same couple.
Right now, the family section of a person's profile is in need of serious help.
Some things have been implemented, but the ordering of events appears to be by the way the sources are attached.
Some events that are labeled marriage are not, but actually the reading of the banns or the marriage license (which in a number of jurisdictions, has to be issued one or more days in advance of the marriage).
There is plenty of indication that this area is under further development and I'm in hopes that many of the current issues will be resolved, including the one you brought up.0
