I couldn't add the image, but here is the url address:

Thanks for your question. I believe you are talking about Eva Serafia not lining up correctly with Eva Serafia Nilsson:

One important thing to note is that these two Eva's have different genders. The one from the Swedish records is listed as a Son while the one from Family Tree is a Sister. You'll want to research which is correct before proceeding.

Once you decide you can line these up by clicking on the "Eva" on the record side and dragging the record to match the "Eva" in the tree.

    I hope this helps.

Jessie Hearle said: For the linked image, the indexed sex on the record does not match the sex of the same name in Family Tree.

You can use the arrow to line up Eva on both sides, and attach with a reason statement explaining the discrepancy

Tom Huber said: In a situation like this, the sex designation discrepancy may require more searching to determine that Eva is indeed a female and not a male (which I would expect to be the case).

In those kinds of cases, the source need to be attached and in the source list, the discrepancy in the record noted for that record.

Hopefully, an image for that record is available so that it can be viewed and verify that Eva was incorrectly recorded.

Tom Huber said: On the subject, it is not unusual to find that the source linker does not correctly align the persons in the record with those in FamilySearch FamilyTree. In those cases, some additional manipulation (using the one or both "Change" functions) within the source linker may be necessary.
